Biography
GOARA LAZIĆ was born in 1967. in Jermenia. She grew up and lived in Odessa (Ukrain), where she started her music education. She was going to the special eleven years long Music School for talents “Staljarski”, in the class of professor I.Krizanovski (piano). Goara graduated in 1992. at Music Academy in Odessa in the class of professor E.Kovaljenko. During the course of her studies, she often performed as a solist and in duet with her sister, violinist, Anzhela Nersesova. She also had an engagement as a piano accompanist with the opera and balet theatre.
Her pedagogical career started in 1992. in Music School “Mihajlo Vukdragovic” in Shabac. Owing to her original approach in working with young talents, Goara Lazic took one of the most eminent places in the region. During 2005-2006 she worked in Music School in Slovenia, where she was holding workshops. Since 2006 Goara continued her artistic and pedagogical activity in Shabac.
Her activity is special by it’s intensity and diversity. She is long-time jury member for National competition and many other local competitions. She won over 100 first and special prizes with her students in state and abroad (France, Italy, Chesh Republic). Many of her students successfully continued their education at Music Academys.
Goara Lazic received the award from the Association of Music and Ballet Pedagogues of Serbia for a long-time successful pedagogical activity. She is also one of the founders of the International competition of young pianists in Shabac.
